Angus Cloud Has Died, ‘Euphoria’ Actor Was 25

Angus Cloud has died. He had just turned 25 years old this month.

The beloved Euphoria actor’s official cause of death is not known at this time, though it was confirmed by his loved ones that he passed in their Oakland, California home on Monday.

In a statement obtained by TMZ, Cloud’s family said, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

TMZ went on to report that the Oakland Police Department and Fire Department got a 911 call around 11:30 this morning from Cloud’s mother.

“She reported a ‘possible overdose,’ and said Angus did not have a pulse. He was eventually pronounced dead on the scene,” the outlet writes, adding a “source close to the family” said Cloud had been struggling with suicidal thoughts since returning from his father’s funeral in Ireland.

Angus Cloud broke out as Fezco on HBO’s Euphoria in 2019 and appeared in 17 episodes across two seasons. He starred alongside Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Storm Reid, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and others. The Sam Levinson series has been recognized with nine Emmy wins so far.
