The emerging Hip Hop artist and producer’s latest single, “A Moment’s Time”, is the first single from his upcoming album, Transparent 2.
DaeShawn teams up with R&B influenced vocalist, Raechelle T. Forrest, to tell the story of how his previous romantic relationship ended just months before the wedding day.
“I was truly devastated and heartbroken. As shown in the music video, it wasn’t my choice to end things. I ended up in a depression and even dealt with suicidal thoughts. I felt alone, and because of the pain I was going through I decided to pour every ounce of emotion I could into music in efforts to heal. It felt like the only way,” explained DaeShawn. “I made several songs during this time, but when I first began creating ‘A Moment’s Time’, I knew instantly I had something special on my hands.”
The artist went on to state that while creating the song and his upcoming album, he didn’t care about the opinions of others. All that mattered to him was his self-growth and letting go of all that was burdening him.
“I can’t recall a time where I’ve ever been so locked in on one particular thing. Everyday I felt heavy and every thought that crossed my mind was dark. I had no choice but to prioritize my well-being or else things would have played out much differently”, says the artist.
The song and the music video’s authentic storytelling reflects the lives of many people across the world. “A Moment’s Time” has the potential to impact the lives of people on a global scale.
The 22-year-old San Francisco Bay Area native produced the single and music video for A Moment’s Time. He also co-directed the filming of the project with Brandon Orozco.

Bio
Born on August 10, 1999, DaeShawn Forrest developed a love for music as a child by witnessing his close relatives play music in church. He also developed a love for Hip Hop when his dad, who is also his pastor, would play artists such as The Cross Movement, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., and much more. Around the age of 15, DaeShawn would go on to teach himself how to play the piano, organ, and the bass guitar. However, it wasn’t until he started college that he would decide to take a leap of faith to become an artist and study Recording Arts. He couldn’t ignore how much music has had an impact on his life and prayed that the Lord would do the same for others through his music. After releasing his first album titled “State of Mind”, DaeShawn would go on to peak at #12 on DRT radio charts. In just his first three years, DaeShawn has released two albums, one EP, and one mixtape.
