To honor the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop, D’USSÉ Cognac has specially curated this year’s series of Day Party celebrations to commemorate today’s leading women in Hip Hop. Rotating across four different locations across the country, each Day Party destination will be home to a female rapper host moving the needle in the genre.
BIA reacts to this year’s celebration sharing, “It’s exciting time for hip hop. We’re seeing so many women taking the rap game to the next level right now by being completely unapologetic in their music. When thinking about 50 years of hip hop, I think it’s important to celebrate how women have influenced the genre. Without that legacy to fall back on, we wouldn’t have the renaissance we’re seeing today of women taking their power back.”
D’USSÉ Day Party will be continuing its rotation across the country heading to Houston, Chicago, and New York later this summer.
