Drake is starting anew.
Fresh off the release of his new single “Toosie Slide,” Champagne Papi checked in with Joe Budden on Instagram Live on Sunday. At one point, the host of “The Joe Budden Podcast” referenced the numerous leaked Drake tracks that have surfaced in recent weeks.
“Now I have a whole leaked album with like 30 leaked Drake joints,” said Joe.
But Drake assured him that his upcoming album will not include any leaks. “That’s old shit. That’s not the new shit. Don’t worry,” he responded.

Drake, who has been quarantined in his Toronto mansion since testing negative for coronavirus, is working on the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Scorpion. Boi-1da recently previewed two unreleased tracks from Drake during his beat battle with Hit-Boy, including a collaboration with Roddy Ricch. Drake previously revealed that he had collaborated with Chris Brown and that the album will be “more concise” than Scorpion.
“I have to do two things every album. I have to give the people that like to hear the singing enough to hold on to, and I have to give [Le]Bron enough bars,” he told TIDAL’s “Rap Radar” podcast in December.
Meanwhile, “Toosie Slide” is dominating the streaming charts. Drake’s famous friends including DJ Khaled, DaniLeigh, and Tinashe are getting in on the dance challenge that’s sweeping TikTok by sharing their own renditions.
