Drake Teases Rihanna Over Album Release

Drake and Rihanna got into a hilarious quarrel while quarantined.

The former couple both checked into an Instagram livestream battle between DJ Spade Muzik and DJ Night Owl Sound on Tuesday. Once he noticed that RiRi had joined the stream, Drizzy decided to have some fun by teasing her in the comments.

“Rih rih u can’t buy your DJ a one Sonos speaker or something. Robyn you can’t buy him A one hot spot,” joked Drake, to which RiRi responded, “Champs we waiting for your boys.”

Their flirty exchange continued. “DUB PLATE COME PRETTY LIKE A FENTY FOUNDATION,” added Drake. “Hahahahaha. Fring said night owl stressed.”

But Rihanna had her own jokes. “Night owl, just go and drink lil chamomile and grease ya scalp,” she told her ex.

“Hahahahahhahahaha yo you have a bad attitude @badgalriri,” he responded before she clapped back: “Give drake some water.”

At one point, Drake even brought up a topic that Rihanna hasn’t been able to escape–the delay of her long-awaited album. “Rihanna drop R12 right now,” he wrote. Rihanna’s ninth album, which fans have dubbed “R9,” is still awaiting a release date.

Drake has remained active on social media while quarantined in his Toronto mansion. He has been popping up on Instagram livestreams with his father Dennis Graham and Dabbing Granny. He also gave fans a tour of his closet, including his extensive sneaker and jewelry collection. He revealed that he got tested for COVID-19 after hanging out with Kevin Durant, and the results came back negative.

Meanwhile, Rihanna and her Clara Lionel Foundation have donated $5 million to various organizations assisting with coronavirus relief efforts.
