Promising rapper and songwriter, Duce Doit raises the bars of Chicago’s Hip Hop scene with his new Trap track “Tweak.” The young talent showcases his signature sound and samples Michael Jackson’s Off the Wall single “Rock With You,” paying tribute to the “King of Pop” and acting as a liaison between Old school and new school generations.
“Tweak” is accompanied by a music video shot by Ryder Visuals, featuring Duce Doit along with his homeboys and cousins. The clip presents the gang’s pure and fun vibe, while highlighting the up-and-coming artist’s irresistible charm and talent. With its heavy trap beats and street narrative, the new single flaunts the rapper’s swagger and magnetism.
Doit admits that the follow-up to “Sleepwalkin” and “Six9” was inspired by sending beats back and forth with his cousin: “My cousin Boss Check sent me a beat that I didn’t really know what to do with. So when I called him and asked “What am I supposed to do with this?” His response was “Just Tweak with em” and that gave me everything I needed to make the song.”
Highly influenced by the likes of Jay-Z, T. I., Rick Ross, Jadakiss, and Fetty Wap, the genre-bending artist reveals that his style and the way he creates music has evolved a lot over the years. Following “Tweak,” Duce Doit is working on a big project that will revere the Hip Hop scene of the late ‘90s and early 2000s.
