Future Gives Back To His Old Georgia High School

Decatur, GA – Future gave back to his old high school in a big way over the Easter holiday weekend. The Freebandz head visited his alma mater Columbia High School as part of his Freewishes Foundation and gifted the school’s sports teams a fully upgraded weight room.

King Pluto met with the Columbia Eagles Head Football Coach Greg Barnett as well as the team itself to unveil the shiny new weight room. Tia Wilburn, Future’s sister and one of the leaders of the Freewishes Foundation, said the renovation came because the locker room has remained the same since she attended Columbia High years ago.

“Since our foundation is very big on health and wellness it was important for us to help create an environment for students in which they could be comfortable, have pride, and perform their best,” Wilburn told FOX 5 Atlanta. “Also, research shows that students who are physically active tend to excel academically and have better attendance.  They are less likely to struggle with depression and other mental health issues.”

Future also posed for photos with the football team and gave them a quick pep talk in their new locker room.

The renovation comes as Future gets ready to drop his new album on April 29. Hendrix confirmed the release date in a relaxed Instagram post on April 13.

“date 4.29 title TBA,” Future wrote alongside a photo of him smoking.

The upcoming project will be Future’s ninth solo studio album, following in the footsteps of 2020’s High Off Life, which featured appearances from NBA YoungBoy, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk and included the diamond-certified single “Life Is Good” featuring Drake. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
