Future, Metro Boomin, Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” featuring has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, reports Billboard. The song is featured on Future and Metro Boomin’s new album, We Don’t Trust You, which claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

It’s believed that Lamar is taking aim at Drake and J. Cole with his “Like That” verse. As Dylan Green wrote in his review of the track, “Kendrick rarely sounds unfocused, but here he sounds particularly possessed, invoking rap luminaries and his own security guard in a hungry display on par with his genre-shaking verse on Big Sean’s 2013 song ‘Control.’”

Drake appeared to respond to Lamar during a Florida concert. “I got my head up high, my back straight; I’m 10 fuckin’ toes down,” he said. “I know that, no matter what, there’s not another n—a on this Earth that could ever fuck with me in my life.”

“Like That” is Kendrick Lamar’s third No. 1 song, following 2017’s “Humble.” and 2015’s “Bad Blood.” The track is also Future’s third chart-topper, following “Wait for U” and “Way 2 Sexy.” For the first, Metro Boomin has a No. 1 song.

We Don’t Trust You had the biggest week of any album so far in 2024, according to Luminate, with 251,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in its first week. It was the second-largest week for a Future album, following the Drake collaboration What a Time to Be Alive from 2015, which brought in 375,000 units in its opening week.
