HipHopDX Rising Star Doechii Announces Debut TDE Project

2022 HipHopDX Rising Star Doechii has announced the release date for her debut project with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE).

Titled She/Her/Black B*tch, the debut EP from the Florida singer arrives on Friday (August 5) and comes after she announced her signing to TDE back in March.

After signing with Top Dawg, the 2022 Rising Star dropped off two singles “Persuasive” and “Crazy.” She then dropped off a remix of the former with SZA, which will feature on the new EP alongside four other songs, two of which will feature Rico Nasty and Jst Ray.

Smino, Baby Tate and the official AfroPunk Instagram account were just a few that expressed their excitement for Doechii’s debut in her comments.

“Official Track-list for ‘she / her / black b*tch’,” Doechii captioned the post. “Beyond grateful for all the incredible talent!”

Doechii has already been making some significant buzz. She made her TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in May, giving an energized performance alongside a live band of “Persuasive” and “Crazy.”

Following her being drafted to the TDE roster, Doechii added in a statement that she was excited for what the iconic label had in store for her career.

“I’m excited to run with Top Dawg – to work, to have a home for my overflowing ideas,” she wrote in a statement. “I want to create a new vision, a new lane, and so much music. Everyone is invited to the Doechii dominance.

She added: “The legacy of Capitol and TDE continues with me and my fans and the legacy of my music starts right here, right now.”

TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith weighed in with his own statement. “Top Dawg Entertainment is all about growth and expansion and providing a platform for talented artists to express their art. With that being said I’d like to welcome Doechii to the TDE team.

“Doechii’s energy is infectious and I’m excited to see her blossom and share her gifts with the world.”
