Rising Hip Hop artist Resse P welcomes the Holiday season with her seventh single “Rum Chata.” Mixing funky jingles with Rap beats, the Chicago native succeeds in delivering the ultimate go-to Christmas track that comes with a cozy music video directed by EXQLUSIVE.

Resse P talks about what inspired her to write a song about the famous Wisconsin liqueur, “I came up with the idea one holiday season, because I love RumChata and eggnog. My producer is extremely creative with his melodies, so when I heard the beat, the melody for “Rum Chata” just rang out. Knowing how big holiday jingles can be, when I got great feedback, I was inspired to keep writing it into what it is today.”

The visuals for “Rum Chata” were shot with minimum resources. The rapper reveals that the team comprised two cameramen and Resse P’s assistant, “It wasn’t a large production at all. Just a bunch of my family and friends that loved the concept and came for free food and to support my vision.”

Despite not being a festive person, Resse P enjoys Christmas time, because it brings people together, “I’ve always lived away from my family and Christmas gives me a chance to go home, spend time with them, and gather around one dinner table. Especially as a kid, we would all go to my uncle’s house during the holidays and open gifts.”

There are plenty of artists to choose from when you’re looking for up-and-coming Hip Hop acts in Chicago, this city is filled with talent, and working hard is the only way you’ll stand out. Resse P is definitely one to watch out for!

Following the release of “Chanel,” which received great feedback from the public thanks to its reference to GloRilla’s popular song “FNF,” Resse P plans to share many more singles in the coming months. With “Rum Chata” already out just in time for the Holiday season, the rapper has her mind set on the prize and fans cannot wait to listen to more of her music.
