Pusha T Teases Another Clipse Reunion On ‘It’s Almost Dry’: ‘I’m Pressing For An Album’

Pusha T teamed up with his brother No Malice for a Clipse reunion on Nigo’s “Punch Bowl” in March, but the collaborative work might not end there. During his recent interview with Hot 97, Push revealed he has another verse from No Malice and talked about what it was like to work alongside him once again.

“First of all, just being in the studio with him was amazing,” he explained. “Already from ‘Punch Bowl,’ everybody was like, ‘I told y’all his brother was better than him!’ Like, that’s all the conversation is. It’s cool man, it’s cool! And when y’all hear this other verse, it’s crazy! Like, it’s so good. I’m glad we got in to do those two.”

With Pusha T’s new album It’s Almost Dry dropping imminently, it’s likely the unreleased verse will end up on the project. He also revealed he’s pushing for another Clipse album, but said it’s all down to No Malice.

“You know me, I’m pressing for an album,” he said. “I’m pressing. I mean, he’s just chilling, he’s not pressing. I do have the like, ‘Little brother, I can ask you to do things,’ thing. So, that’s how I got these. And it just made sense, you know, the Nigo thing. He was there. I was particular about it [being credited as Clipse] … I just want him to see that.”

Clipse appeared on Nigo’s I Know NIGO! album alongside features from Kid Cudi, Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Pop Smoke, Lil Uzi Vert and Gunna.

On “Punch Bowl,” Pusha T and No Malice spit a verse each over production from longtime collaborators, The Neptunes. As a duo, the track marked their first time working with Pharrell and Chad Hugo since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops.

Before “Punch Bowl,” Clipse’s last feature landed on Kanye West’s “Use This Gospel” in 2009, appearing on his Jesus Is King album.
