R. Kelly is currently under federal prosecution in New York due to decades-long allegations regarding sexual misconduct. In new court documents, the feds allege more heinous uncharged crimes were committed by the embattled R&B singer, including molesting an underage boy who had aspirations of making it in the music industry.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the documents allege Kelly met the unnamed individual when the boy was 16 at a McDonald’s in 2006. Kelly reportedly invited the boy to his studio and later asked him what he would do to become successful in the industry before having sexual contact with him.

The feds also allege the boy introduced Kelly to a male friend of his who was also 16 or 17 years old at the time. Several years later, Kelly and the boy would begin a sexual relationship. Additionally, Kelly is accused of bribing a clerk in Cook County, Illinois in 2019 to gain inside information regarding his case.

Kelly’s newest allegations come as he’s set to begin his federal trial on sex trafficking charges in Brooklyn on August 18. If convicted, he faces up to 70 years in prison.

Kelly’s time behind bars hasn’t been without a few headlines. Despite numerous appeals to be released due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he remains behind bars. In August 2020, he was assaulted by an inmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center who told guards he did it because “the government told him to.”
