Derez “rez” Ysaguirre’s journey to becoming a rapper has been anything but ordinary. Growing up in the streets of Los Angeles, he turned to writing as a way to express his thoughts and feelings, eventually turning his journaling into poems and songs.

What’s even more interesting is the support he received from some of the biggest names in the music industry while he was serving time in prison. From Jadakiss to Fat Joe and Busta Rhymes, they recognized his talent and wanted to help him get recognized, providing him with the motivation he needed to pursue his dreams.

Today, Derez “rez” Ysaguirre is excited about his upcoming EP and is using his success to bring goodness to the world through the Give Back Movement. He believes in the power of helping others and giving back to the community, and hopes to inspire others to do the same. Derez “rez” Ysaguirre grew up in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, although he was born in Hollywood. His experiences with street life and criminal activities pushed him to find a way to express his thoughts and feelings. That is when he turned to writing, starting with journaling, poems, and eventually, songs.

One of the most interesting stories that Derez “rez” Ysaguirre shared was about receiving messages in prison from Jadakiss, Fat Joe, and Busta Rhymes. They heard his music and wanted to help him get recognized, providing a boost of motivation.

Currently, he is excited about his upcoming EP presented by his label, HiVolproductions, LLC, and CEO’s Zachary Huff, professionally known as Zoonieg, and Ta’Shon Grant.

Derez “rez” Ysaguirre has interacted with people from all walks of life, including serial killers, politicians, lawyers, judges, gang members, prostitutes, preachers, drug dealers, and officers. He believes that every person has a reason behind what they do, and that reason is their own.

Muhammad Ali, Nelson Mandela, and Jesus Christ are the most inspiring figures for Derez “rez” Ysaguirre. They did not allow the world to influence their beliefs or control the outcome of their destiny.

He uses his success to bring goodness to the world, whether it’s spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, or financial support. Derez “rez” Ysaguirre believes it’s essential to give back and help others when we have the means to do so.

If he could start a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, it would be the Give Back Movement. Every month, a census would go around projecting who in the community really needs support. The community would then come together and support those families, and eventually, all those who have received support would be in a position to support others.
