Khalid caps off the year with his new mixtape Scenic Drive.
In addition to the single “Present,” for which he also released a video, the 9 tracks include an intro from Alicia Keys, plus appearances from 6LACK and Lucky Daye (“Retrograde”), JID (“All I Feel Is Rain”), Kiana Ledé (“Voicemail”), and Quin (“Brand New”).
Khalid reunites with Majid Jordan on “Open,” while Smino and Ari Lennox team up on the closing track, “Scenic Drive.”
“it’s like suncity… but grown,” tweeted Khalid, referencing his 2018 EP.
Scenic Drive marks Khalid’s first project since 2019’s Free Spirit and arrives ahead of his upcoming third album Everything Is Changing, which spawned the single “New Normal.”
Additionally, Khalid can also be heard on Mariah Carey’s holiday single “Fall in Love at Christmas” with Kirk Franklin.
