The release of Lizzo’s “Rumors” featuring Cardi B caused a lot more controversy than celebrating after the popular singer went live and received fat-phobic and racist comments on her IG Live, bringing her to tears.
She showed love to Cardi for contributing to “Rumors”, but as the negative feedback continued to come in, Lizzo admitted that the pressure from critics has been too much to handle at times.
“I just feel like I’m seeing negativity directed towards me in the most weirdest way, like, people saying s*** about me that just doesn’t even make sense. It’s fat-phobic and it’s racist and it’s hurtful.”
