Last night, Dua Lipa was both the host and musical guest on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. In addition to starring in eight sketches, the pop star sang two tracks from Radical Optimism, her new record: single “Illusion” and album closer “Happy for You.” Dua Lipa was introduced by Troye Sivan for the former track and Jerry Seinfeld for the latter number. Watch all the clips from her SNL episode below.
In her opening monologue, Dua Lipa poked fun at her “Go, girl, give us nothing” meme, her close relationship with her parents, and a staged Q&A with the crowd. She also starred in numerous sketches, including a role as a culture critic on a daytime news show who breaks down the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar feud. Dua Lipa went on to act in other sketches about a jingle pitch meeting, celebrities who wear tiny statement pins at fashion events, an Elephant Man parody, a rap tag session gone sour, and more.
In the lead-up to releasing Radical Optimism, Dua Lipa appeared in the movies Argylle and Barbie, the latter of which features her song “Dance the Night,” and bought back the rights to her publishing catalog.
