The Weeknd’s Merch Trailer Reportedly Destroyed In Fire At Las Vegas Show

Las Vegas – The Weeknd‘s concert in Las Vegas over the weekend was the scene of a huge fire that reportedly destroyed a trailer carrying some of the singer’s merchandise.

According to Fox News, a large fire erupted late Saturday night (August 20) outside Allegiant Stadium as fans were exiting the show. Local firefighters responded to the blaze shortly before 11 p.m. and got the flames under control quite quickly.

While it’s not clear exactly what started the blaze, videos online appeared to show a bus or trailer engulfed by flames in a parking lot connected to the stadium.

It was reported later on that The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn merchandise truck was destroyed in the fire (via Variety).

The Weeknd posted a photo from the Las Vegas leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour but with no mention of the fire. HipHopDX has reached out to representatives for The Weeknd for comment.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd and HBO have released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming series The Idol.

The video, which was unleashed on Sunday (August 21), sheds a bit more light on the upcoming HBO Max series and the Toronto megastar’s role as a self-help guru, club owner and leader of a modern-day cult who dates an up-and-coming pop star played by Lily-Rose Depp.

The teaser also reveals the show will feature copious amounts of sex and plenty of guest stars. Moses Sumney, Mike Dean, Suzanna Son, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Ramsey and Hank Azaria are a few of the new names added to the show.

Troye Sivan, Debby Ryan, Hari Nef, Tunde and Tyson Ritter were previously announced to appear in the show. Euphoria’s Sam Levinson is also serving as the co-creator. A release date for The Idol has yet to be announced.
